Charred Iceberg Wedge

Sometimes you’re just craving a salad but chances are you rarely prepare one when you’re camping. That all changes when you use your HERO Grill to cook a tasty Charred Iceberg Wedge that is full of flavor.


Charred Iceberg Wedge (serves 4)

1 head iceberg lettuce

4 strips thick cut bacon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon Fire & Flavor Burger Seasoning

Oliver oil

Salt and pepper

4 tomatoes, diced

Blue cheese or feta crumbles


FIRST  Mix together the strips of bacon, burger seasoning and brown sugar. Light your HERO Grill by holding the lighter to the 4 corners of the Charcoal Pod. The charcoal will sparkle or turn darker as it ignites and the fire spreads across the pod. It will be ready in 10 minutes.


NEXT  Grill the bacon until crispy and the sugar rub begins to caramelize. Allow to cool slightly and chop into chunks. Cut the iceberg into quarters, leaving the root intact. Drizzle each wedge with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.


LAST  Grill the wedges on each side until they have nice char marks and are slightly warm.

Serve immediately topped with the bacon, tomatoes, cheese crumbles and your favorite salad
